What Is CDSP Competition Obedience?
Golden Rule for Dogs' Companion Dog Sports Program is a natural-style competition obedience for all dogs, purebred or mixed breed, young, old, or even disabled. Junior handlers and disabled handlers are also encouraged.
The Companion Dog Sports Program sanctions obedience trials where handlers and their dogs can earn titles in the Novice, Open, and Utility classes. Teams can earn titles and championships by collecting qualifying scores, not by winning placements—although earning ribbons is also fun. Based on traditional competition obedience exercises and scoring guidelines, CDSP was created using feedback from exhibitors, instructors, judges, and dog handlers and trainers nationwide.
What is more fun than training your dog? Testing her skills—and yours—in a friendly, safe environment.
