Welcome to Blue Ridge K-9 Training Center, where we are dedicated to helping you build a solid trusting relationship with your dog.
Our Instructors are Randy Sutton, Pat Sutton and Judy Richardson.
Their biographies ae listed below

Tyler

Randy has been training horses, cattle and dogs for over 50 years. He says, Pat and I built and opened the Dog Training Center in 1988. Prior to that we had classes out back and moved into our 4 car garage during inclement weather. Our initial goals have not changed. After literally hundreds of dogs a year over 35 years we found that a small percentage of owners want more than a Basic Training Class. We also specialize in Show Training for Obedience, Scent Work and Rally Obedience with many of our students competing in trials at all levels. We offer a full venue of C-Wags Trials at our facility. Randy is a Licensed C-Wags Judge for all levels of Obedience, Rally, Games & Scentwork. He is a Licensed AKC Judge in Scentwork and Farm Dog Venues. He says these past 35 years have been fun and we look forward to many more.

Tyler and Sunny

Pat's love of dogs & dog shows started at a young age as she tagged along with her Father, an avid sportsman, to field trials all over the Tri-State Area. She has been the Lead Instructor at the Training Center since it opened in 1988, teaching Puppy Basic, Advanced Classes and Show Competition. She is a show ring veteran in the Obedience, Rally and Scent Venues with numerous titles and awards to her credit over the years, including the AKC Utility Title with her German Shepherd, Kelly. She is a Charter Member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers and The National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors. She is also a member of The Potomac Valley Standard Schnauzer Clue and the Standard Schnauzer Club of America. As Randy says, it's been a fun ride and we are looing forward to many more years of the same

Misty

Judy has been teaching with Pat and Randy for 25 years. She assists Pat with Puppy Kindergarten and teaches Puppy Basic and Rally Classes. Judy got sarted in dog training by helping her parents train and show their German Shepherds. She's been a dog handler since 10 years old, starting out with Junior handler in the conformation ring all the way up to the AKC Utility title in the obedience ring. She is approved to judge all levels of C-WAGS Obedience, Rally and Games. Teaching with Pat and Randy has been an educational and fun experience. She is looking forward to many more years teaching at the training center.
